Open Bible College is currently a one year Bible and ministry training program designed to help people understand Scripture deeply, develop a biblical worldview, grow as disciples of Jesus and become equipped to serve others. It combines serious biblical study with practical ministry experience in the life of the local church.

Open Bible College is for anyone who wants to go deeper in their understanding of Scripture and grow in their ability to serve Jesus. You do not need to feel called to full-time ministry. Students may include emerging leaders, volunteers, businesspeople, parents, young adults, ministry leaders and anyone who simply wants a stronger biblical foundation.

No. Open Bible College is open to suitable applicants from The Open Church and the wider Christian community. However, as part of the course, there will be a requirement for practical ministry in your church for each to play an active role in ministry.

No. We believe every follower of Jesus is called to be a disciple and make disciples. Some students may be preparing for vocational ministry. Others may want to become better equipped to serve Jesus in their family, workplace, church and community.

Our aim is not simply to give students more information about the Bible. We want students to understand Scripture in its biblical, historical and cultural context, develop a genuinely biblical worldview and learn how to live it out.The goal is transformation, not simply information.
